Perry Anderson, CEO and developer of the BestLine Diamond Nano-Lubricants Invites You To The Family.

Perry Anderson

You may not know this, but Perry takes a personal interest in every customer. He wants you to know that you can reach out to him any time he can be of service.

When was the last time you were able to speak to the CEO of a company you purchased a product from? It’s a very rare thing, indeed, to have a business take an interest in you.

Perry has been an innovator his entire career. He has several patents he's created over the years which solve  problems in number of industries. He brings new ideas and products to the lubrication market by working with the best tribologists (also known as oil chemists) in lubrication to solve new problems in the automotive industry.

'Long time entrepreneur in several different industries including marine electronics, injection moulded plastics and now high performance lubricants'

The Real Impact of New EPA Rules

The impact of higher fuel mileage requirements for automobiles, and of increased power and lifespan for motorcycles, has created a need for improved lubrication technology.

To meet changing fuel economy and emissions standards, modern engine hardware has evolved and requires better-performing lubricants. Engine downsizing, turbocharging, gasoline direct injection (GDI or TGDI), variable valve timing, and the introduction of stop/start hybrid and electric technologies mean GF-5 tests simply do not measure up to the demands placed on modern  lubricants.

The automotive industry’s recent licensing of the supplemental lubricant category API SN PLUS to mitigate the low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) observed in vehicles equipped with GDI engines is a start, but there are still more issues that require a better lubricant solution. The new ILSAC GF-6 will balance these equally important needs:

  • Fuel economy and fuel economy retention
  • Emission system compatibility
  • Engine oil robustness to protect engines from wear related to idle stop and failures related to LSPI and turbocharger depositing

This performance standard will include two separate specifications - GF-6A to represent the existing ILSAC viscosity grades and GF-6B will be defined for 0W-16  viscosity grade oils only.

BestLine Diamond Nano-Lubricants help to increase the boundary layer to better protect the bearings when using 0-weight oils. Even the racing industry is now using zero weight oils to reduce friction and increase the power. These high power engines require special attention to wear and  heat. The BestLine Diamond Nano-Lube has a very high heat rating and ultra-low friction technology.

motorcycle engine is quite unique by itself. It has the engine, transmission and the clutch all working together and lubricated with the same oil. Though the needs of each of them can be different and, often, competing.

Now, let’s look at the motorcycle engine compared to that of a passenger car. A car engine uses coolant to cool the engine and has a large oil sump; while motorcycle engines are typically air cooled and have smaller oil sumps. This, combined with high-power density, results in a much more severe operating condition. Here the oil needs to withstand oxidative degradation, which results from higher operating temperatures, and protect the engine from the formation of high temperature deposits.

In the transmission area, the gears are subjected to immense pressure. This, combined with higher operating speeds than their four-wheeled counterparts, can result in wear and pitting if not adequately protected. The oil needs to be equipped with special extreme pressure components.

The wet clutch is a vital part of the engine as it is required to transfer power smoothly and efficiently from the engine to the wheels.  As it becomes engaged, the power gets transferred through friction between the clutch plates. The oil needs to assist this friction —making correct additive chemistry crucial to maintaining the clutch friction durability.

BestLine Engine Oil additives improve lubricity as you’d expect, but also reduce the friction and corresponding heat which reduce the life of the engine and transmission. Cooler running, combined with more power due to the greatly reduced coefficient of friction, adds approximately 60% engine life as compared to a traditional oil alone.
